MBC and NED

The term No Evidence of Disease (NED) means that the cancer is not detectable in a person’s body with currently available tests such as imaging and blood tests.

According to one study, 16% of MBC patients achieved NED, and they often lived longer. Factors related to attaining NED included having a healthy body weight, estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer, de novo MBC (when the first diagnosis of breast cancer is MBC), a single site of metastasis, local treatment of the tumor and others.

Read below for more details about what NED is and studies of people with MBC who attained NED.
