Clinical trials are run by a team, and we are continuing our series on the roles of clinical trial team members. This month, we are highlighting the Institutional Review Board, or IRB. Although you will not meet members of the IRB if you enroll in a trial, it is important to understand the IRB’s role in protecting the safety and privacy of people who participate in clinical trials.
